§ SIR CHARLES W. DILKEThe Portuguese Government have as yet returned no reply to the representations of Her Majesty's Government upon this subject. They have, however, been pressed for an answer; but until it has been received, and has been duly considered, Her Majesty's Government will not be in a position to state what further steps they will take in the matter.
