§ SIR CHARLES W. DILKEAs has been stated, in answer to previous Questions in the House, there are counter-claims brought by Brazil against Great Britain, and the claims and counterclaims have to be treated in connection with each other. The Brazilian Government is investigating the Brazilian counter claims, and Her Majesty's Government have recently received information that the investigation is progressing. Some delay has been caused by the pressure of other business in the Brazilian Legislature; but Her Majesty's Government hope soon to learn the result.
