SHAW LEFEVREIn comparing the assistance given by the Admiralty to the Naval Artillery Volunteers with that given to other Volunteers by the War Office, it should be recollected that the Admiralty lends the use of gunboats, with the attendant expense of coal and victualling, to the members of the corps when on board, as arranged when the corps was formed a few years ago. The question of further assistance has not since been raised or discussed; but will probably be considered before next year's Estimates.
