asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether the Government have received any despatches from the Governor General of Canada relating to the case of Mr. Letellier de St. Just, the Governor of Quebec; whether the Government have come to any decision in the case; and, if so, whether the decision will be communicated to Parliament?

Yes, Sir, despatches have been received on the subject, and it is now under the consideration of Her Majesty's Government. "When a decision has been arrived at, and has been communicated to the Governor General of Canada, it will be laid before Parliament.
