gave Notice that he proposed to add the following words to the Resolution which stood on the Paper in his name for Thursday:— That this House further regrets that after the censure passed upon the High Commissioner by Her Majesty's Government in the Despatch of the 19th day of March, 1879, the conduct of affairs in South Africa should be retained in his hands.
