§ EARL PERCYasked the Secretary of State for War, Whether, in consequence of the limited time which will be afforded this year for the training of the Militia, he will sanction the omission of the usual musketry course?
§ COLONEL STANLEY, in reply, said, that in exceptional cases the Militia when called out had been exempted 629 from musketry instruction; and this year, if a special application was made by the commanding officers of regiments, there would be no objection to sanction the omission.
