HC Deb 29 July 1879 vol 248 c1584

(In the Committee.)

Motion made, and Question proposed, That a sum, not exceeding £154,995, he granted to Her Majesty, to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March 1880, for the Expenses of Her Majesty's Embassies and Missions Abroad.

SIR CHARLES W. DILKE

said, several hon. Members who had left the House were, as well as himself, under the impression that the Vote for the payment of Exchequer Bonds would be taken before the Civil Service Estimates were proceeded with; and it was, he thought, desirable that the arrangement, which he understood had been entered into, should be adhered to.

Motion, by leave, withdrawn.

(1.) £2,500,000 Exchequer Bonds, agreed to.
