HC Deb 28 July 1879 vol 248 c1406
MR. LOWTHIAN BELL

asked the President of the Local Government Board, Whether, looking at the period of the year, it is really the intention of Her Majesty's Government to proceed with the Noxious Gases Bill?

MR. SCLATER-BOOTH,

in reply, said, that owing to the opposition with which the Bill was threatened, and the advanced period of the Session, it was his intention to withdraw it.
