§ MR. BOURKEOn the 26th of March last Mr. West was instructed to call the attention of the Spanish Government to the fact that the indemnity awarded to Mr. Field for his losses by the seizure of the Marie Louise in September, 1877, still remained unpaid. He was further told to request that the matter might be speedily settled. No answer has yet been received from the Spanish Government to that representation, and instructions have been sent to Mr. West to repeat the complaint.
