HC Deb 03 July 1879 vol 247 c1281
M.R. COLE

asked Mr. Attorney General, Whether, taking into consideration the present state of business, and the fact that the majority of the legal Members of the House are immediately leaving for Circuit, there is any probability of his being able to proceed with the Criminal Code (Indictable Offences) Dill during the present Session?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL (Sir JOHN HOLKER)

I very much regret to say that, in my opinion, there is not any reasonable probability of my being able to proceed with this Dill this Session.
