HC Deb 14 August 1879 vol 249 c979
MR. ANDERSON

asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, When the Slave Trade Papers for 1878 will be laid upon the Table; and, what progress has been made in getting the Red Sea Slave Trade Convention signed at Constantinople?

MR. BOURKE

, in reply, said, the Slave Trade Papers would be in the possession of hon. Members in a few days. The Red Sea Slave Trade Convention with Turkey had not yet been signed; but the Government had every reason to believe that the negotiations on the subject would very shortly be brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
