HC Deb 01 August 1879 vol 248 c1941

Order for Committee read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House will resolve itself into the said Committee upon Monday next."

SIR DAVID WEDDERBURN

suggested that as there was no opposition to the Bill it should be taken on the present occasion, as it could be run through in a few minutes, and he did not know when the right hon. and learned Lord Advocate expected a proper time for it to be reached, if it was not taken when an opportunity occurred like the present.

MR. ASSHETON CROSS

said, he did not wish the Order postponed.

Question put, and agreed to.

Committee deferred till Monday next.
