§ COLONEL STANLEY, in reply, said, it was true that Brevet Majors of the Line drew 2s. per day extra pay for the purpose of enabling them to provide themselves with horses when required to be mounted. Captains of Cavalry being already mounted, received no extra pay, and the same rule applied to the case of Yeomanry Adjutants.
