asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, When the Government Banking Bill will be in the hands of Members; and, whether the second reading will be fixed for such a date as to give the Country at least seven days for its consideration?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER,

in reply, said, he believed the Bill in question would be in the hands of hon. Members to-morrow morning. He would undertake to promise that the second reading of the Bill should be fixed at such a date as would allow the public at least seven days for the consideration of the measure.
