§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTON,in reply, said, that the telegram from India correctly described the measures taken by the Indian Government. They had not yet received a copy of the Act at the India Office, but as soon as it was received it would be laid on the Table, together with the discussion which had arisen in the Council of the Governor General of India on the subject.
