HC Deb 08 March 1878 vol 238 cc975-6
MR. J. G. TALBOT

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, When the Return relating to Licensed Houses, which was laid upon the Table on the 14th August last, and ordered to be printed, may be expected to be in the hands of Members?

MR. ASSHETON CROSS,

in reply, said, that 956 circulars had been sent out; but the Department had to write twice and sometimes five times before getting an answer, and some of the answers had to be sent back again for revision. But though the Returns relating to licensed houses were not yet complete, he hoped they would be shortly in the hands of hon. Members.
