§ MR. W. E. FORSTERasked, If the debate on the Contagious Diseases (Animals) Bill should not be concluded that evening, whether it would be taken to-morrow evening?
§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUERhoped there was no doubt the debate would finish this evening. Looking to the character of the discussion, and the fact that a good deal turned on questions which belonged to the stage of Committee, he thought there were reasonable grounds for hoping that the debate would conclude this evening. Should that not be the case, it would be impossible to continue the debate tomorrow evening, for which other Busi 331 ness had been fixed. The Highways Bill would be taken to-morrow, and after that the Roads and Bridges (Scotland) Bill. In that case he hoped to proceed with the Irish Education Vote on Monday.
§ SIR GEORGE CAMPBELLasked, Whether the Government Amendments to the Roads and Bridges Bill would be printed in order that they might be considered by hon. Members.
MR. ASSHETON CROSSsaid, the Amendments were of such a character as really to meet the wishes of hon. Members expressed in Committee, and they would be laid upon the Table at once.
§ In reply to Mr. HIBBERT,
§ MR. SCLATER-BOOTHsaid, he hoped to take the Committee on the Valuation Bill at a Morning Sitting next week.
