HC Deb 24 June 1878 vol 241 c132
MR. J. COWEN

asked, in the event of the Cattle Diseases Bill not being finished that evening, whether the Bill would be proceeded with to-morrow or on Thursday?

THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

said, he was about to ask what Business would be taken at the Morning Sitting to-morrow and on Thursday?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

The Government, of course, cannot foresee how long the debate on the Contagious Diseases (Animals) Bill, which stands first on the Orders, will last. If it should not be finished tonight, we should propose to go on with it to-morrow morning. The next Business we propose to take after this Bill is through its second reading, is the Irish Queen's Colleges Vote, which we wish to take on Thursday.
