SULLIVANI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies, If it 2061 is true that Sir Bryan O'Loghlen has accepted the appointment of Attorney General of Victoria; and, whether he can inform the House of the date of such appointment, and what salary, if any, attaches to the office in question?
§ SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACHI cannot state the precise date of this appointment; but a short time ago I heard from the Governor of Victoria that Sir Bryan O'Loghlen had accepted the office. The salary has been altered recently, but I understand it is now between £1,600 and £1,700.

That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown in Ireland for the holding of a new election for the County of Clare, in the room of Sir Bryan O'Loghlen, who, since his election, hag accepted the office of Attorney General of Victoria.
