HC Deb 31 January 1878 vol 237 c728
LORD CLAUD HAMILTON

asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, If his attention has been directed to the alarm prevalent in the Country from the increase of hydrophobia, and to the existence of a number of wandering and ownerless dogs; and, whether he is prepared to deal with the matter by legislation or otherwise this Session?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER,

in reply, said, that in common with the public generally the Government had had their attention directed to the subject, and they were considering it, in hopes to be able to propose some measure relating to it.
