DILLWYNI beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer a Question, of which I have given him private Notice, Whether there is any foundation whatever for the report of a new Anglo-Turkish Convention? I would not have asked this Question if it were merely a rumour; but I am aware of the fact that the report is believed in foreign Embassies.
§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUERThere is no truth in the report, except, of course, so far as it may relate to the negotiations that have been going on with regard to the arrangements to be made in relation to Cyprus.
