§ MR. A. MILLSasked the Vice President of the Council, Whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce any measure to amend the Medical Act of 1858; and, whether, in the event of any such Bill being brought in, it is proposed to deal with the constitution of the Medical Council?
§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTONWe hope to be able to introduce and pass this Session a measure amending the Medical Act of 1858. The constitution of the Medical Council is a matter of considerable difficulty and importance, in respect to which we think further inquiry is necessary before any legislation could be attempted.
