§ MAJOR NOLANasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, If the Government intend to take steps towards the re-organization of the Board of Works in Ireland?
§ MR. J. LOWTHERThe Board of Works is under the control of the Treasury, and my hon. Friend the Secretary of that Department informs me that steps are being taken with a view to a re-organization of the Board. I, however, have no personal knowledge of the matter, which is not in my Department.
§ MAJOR NOLANI cannot say that I am satisfied with the answer which is given me by the right hon. Gentleman. Therefore, I give Notice that I shall repeat the Question to the Secretary to the Treasury, and shall also ask him if the Government intend to make any announcement on the subject before the adjournment of the House for the Christmas Recess.
