HC Deb 12 August 1878 vol 242 c1764
GENERAL SIR GEORGE BALFOUR

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, Why the provisions of section 10 of the Act 5 Geo. 4, c. 64, requiring the accounts relating to the loans for Irish and Scotch Fisheries to be laid before Parliament within fourteen days at the commencement of every Session, have not been enforced, with all the details set forth in the named Clause?

SIR HENRY SELWIN-IBBETSON

in reply, said, that so far as Ireland was concerned, the section referred to in the Question was repealed by the 5 & 6 Vict. c. 106. In regard to Scotland, the information which the hon. and gallant Member seemed to desire always appeared in the Report of the Commissioners of the Fishery Board (Scotland), which was presented annually to Parliament. At all events, he imagined that that Report would furnish the hon. Member with all the information which he required.
