§ MR. WHEELHOUSE (for Captain PIM)asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, If there is any objection to lay upon the Table of the House, the Report on the Reorganization of the Admiralty made by the Committee appointed for 1178 that purpose, consisting of the honourable Baronet the Junior Lord of the Admiralty, Mr. Lingen, and Mr. E. G. C-Hamilton, who has just received the appointment of Accountant General of the Navy?
§ MR. W. H. SMITH, in reply, said, that there was no objection to give the information referred to as to the recommendations of the Committee for the reorganization of the Admiralty; but the Committee itself was a Departmental Committee, and it was unusual to produce Reports of that character to the House, and it would be inconvenient to set a precedent of that kind. If the hon. and learned Member called at the Admiralty, he would be happy to show him the Report.
