§ MR. W. H. JAMESasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether any Report has been made by the Fishery Inspectors upon their inquiries, held at various places in the estuary of the Thames, into the alleged destruction of the fry and spawn of sea fish by trawling fishers and others; and, if so, if there would be any objection to lay it upon the Table before the close of the Session?
MR. ASSHETON CROSS, in reply, said, no separate Report had been made on the subject referred to by the hon. Gentleman; but the Inspectors were engaged upon a much larger inquiry, and the moment their Report was made it should be laid before Parliament.
