HC Deb 02 August 1878 vol 242 c992
MR. ERRINGTON

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether it is true, as stated, that the usual examination for the Army Medical Service will not take place in the month of August this year; whether this is due to contemplated changes in the conditions of the Service likely to arise from the inquiry now being made; and, whether, if so, he is as yet in a position to indicate for the information of intending candidates the general direction of such changes?

COLONEL STANLEY

, in reply, said, it was true that the usual examination would not be held in August, which was due to some possible changes in the Service which had not yet been fully decided upon, and which he was therefore not in a position to indicate for the benefit of intending candidates, as requested by the hon. Member.
