SECOND READING. ADJOURNED DEBATE.

Order read, for resuming Adjourned Debate on Amendment proposed to Question [26th March], "That the Bill be now read a second time;" and which Amendment was, to leave out the word "now," and at the end of the Question to add the words "upon this day six months."—(Mr. Maurice Brooks.)

Question again proposed, "That the word 'now' stand part of the Question."

Debate resumed.

said, he had a Petition to present against the Bill, from the Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses of the city of Dublin.

MR. SPEAKER

The original Question was—"That this Bill be now read a second time;" since which an Amendment has been moved to leave out the word "now," and to add at the end of the Question the words ''upon this day six months." The Question I have to put is, ''That the word 'now' stand part of the Question."
