HC Deb 17 May 1877 vol 234 cc1105-6
MR. HOLT (for Mr. MARK STEWART)

asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, When the Report of Mr. Grosvenor's Mission to Yunnan, with the remainder of the Papers connected with the Margary Expedition, and also the Papers of the recent Convention between Sir Thomas Wade and the Chinese Government, will be laid upon the Table?

MR. BOURKE

I can assure the hon. Member that Her Majesty's Government are as anxious as he is that these Papers should be produced as soon as possible; but there are a great num- ber of other Papers of a very voluminous character now being printed at the Foreign Office. These Papers are now in a very forward state, and they will be presented to the House as soon as possible, taking into consideration the importance and the voluminous character of these and the other Papers which are now being printed by the Foreign Office.
