said, it was not possible to speak with perfect certainty at this moment respecting the duration of the Whitsun Recess; but he hoped it would be in the power of the House, without inconvenience, to rise on Thursday, the 17th instant, and he should then propose that they re-assemble on Thursday, the 31st instant.
