MR. RYDER

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether the kindred question of the storage of water for the use of villages will be referred to the Select Committee of the House of Lords, which is to be appointed to consider the subject of the Prevention of Floods?

MR. ASSHETON CROSS

, in reply, said, that his noble Friend the Lord President of the Council would give Notice in the House of Lords very shortly—probably that evening—of his intention to move for the Select Committee alluded to by his hon. Friend. The same Committee would also consider the kindred question of the storage of water for the use of villages.
