§ MR. M'LARENasked the Lord Advocate, Whether, when the Prisons Bill for England has been amended in Committee and on Report, he will propose such Amendments on the Prisons (Scotland) Bill as will make it substantially the same in all its provisions as the English Bill?
THE LORD ADVOCATE, in reply, said, that it was the intention of the Government to establish precisely the same system of management in Scotland as in England. Therefore, when the Prisons Bill for England had been amended in Committee and on Report 199 he should be prepared to propose Amendments to the effect intimated in the Question of the hon. Member.
