HC Deb 06 March 1877 vol 232 cc1526-7 Bill read a second time, and committed to a Select Committee of Eleven Members, Six to be nominated by the House, and Five by the Committee of Selection. Ordered, That all Petitions against the Bill, presented on or before the eighth day after the Second Reading of the Bill, be referred to the Committee, and all Petitioners entitled to be heard be so by themselves, their Counsel, agents, and witnesses upon their Petitions, if they think fit, and that Counsel be heard in support of the Bill and against the Petitions. Ordered, That the following Reports of Select Committees of this House, and the Evidence taken before them, be referred to the Committee on the Bill: namely, the Committee of 1865, upon the Metropolitan Toll Bridges Bill and the Chelsea Bridge Toll Abolition Bill; of 1876, upon the Toll-paying Bridges over the Thames, and upon the Metropolis Toll Bridges Bill.
