HC Deb 30 July 1877 vol 236 c164
SIR CHARLES W. DILKE

asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether he is now in a position to state to the House the decision which has been arrived at by Her Majesty's Government with regard to the ratification of the Chefoo Convention; and, whether any further Papers on this subject will be presented before Parliament rises?

MR. BOURKE ,

in reply, said, Her Majesty's Government had at length received a Report from Sir Thomas Wade upon the whole question of the Chefoo Convention; but it would be impossible to present it until the Government of India had had an opportunity of perusing it.
