ASSHETON CROSSI am unable to give the actual numbers; but I believe a third of the prisoners in Scotland are Roman Catholic, and that about a third of that number are found at the prison at Perth, where there is a Roman Catholic minister, who is paid by the Government, and who holds services, but of what those services consist I cannot say.
