§ MR. ASHBURYasked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether he will cause to be laid upon the Table of the House a Copy of the Instructions given by the Government to the Committee appointed to inquire into the question of the sta- 1523 bility of H.M.S. "Inflexible;" and, if so, bow soon Copies can be distributed to honourable Members?
§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUERI do not think it would be convenient to lay the Instructions upon the Table. They have been settled by my right hon. Friend the First Lord of the Admiralty and by the Board of Admiralty. They are now in the hands of the Committee, who are about to commence their sittings next week. As soon as possible the Report will be presented, and the Instructions with it.
