rose to call the attention of the House to the circumstances under which the Turkish Loan of 1854 was subscribed for; and to move— That, in the opinion of this House, the honourable obligations contracted in 1854 by the allied Governments of England and France towards the Turkish Bondholders of that year, will not permit a lengthened acquiescence of the" British Government in the unsatisfactory reply received from the Ottoman Porte, when—
