§ MR. ANDERSONasked the First Lord of the Admiralty, Whether it be not the fact that the concessions made by him to the navigating officers last year, through being restricted to the lowest rank, had resulted in supercession, junior navigating officers getting over the heads of their seniors in the same branch; and if he will look into the matter with a view of so extending the concessions as to avoid that grievance?
§ MR. HUNTI believe, Sir, there has been no case at present in which junior navigating officers have been put over the heads of their seniors in the same branch; but I find it is possible that the thing might happen in a case which has 581 been brought to my notice, and to that I am giving my attention. If the hon. Member will communicate with me on the exact point suggested by his Question I shall be happy to consider the matter.
