HC Deb 15 February 1877 vol 232 cc374-5
DR. CAMERON

asked the Lord Advocate, Whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to prolong the existence of the Scottish Board of Education?

THE LORD ADVOCATE

The only reply which I can make at present to the hon. Gentleman is, that the question as to the propriety of continuing the Board of Education in Scotland is receiving the serious consideration of Her Majesty's Government.

DR. CAMERON

I beg to give Notice that, in consequence of the Answer of the hon. and learned Lord Advocate, I shall call the attention of the House to the subject, and move a Resolution.
