§ MR. J. LOWTHERSir, a Committee has already been appointed by the Government of Ceylon (in consequence of a Motion introduced into the local Council) for the purpose of inquiring into this question. Until the Report has been received, no action can, of course, be taken in the matter by Her Majesty's Government.
