MR. ASSHETON CROSS,in reply, said, he thought that legislation must follow the Report of the Commission which had been laid on the Table, and would, he hoped, be delivered in a few days. He did not propose to print the evidence unless the House wished it; but it would be placed in the Library for reference. He could not say when a Bill would be introduced upon the subject, but probably it would be before the Whitsun Recess.
