asked the President of the Local Government Board, Whether his attention has been called to a case reported in the newspapers of a coroner's inquest held at Brading, Isle of Wight, when the jury found by their verdict that a young man of the name of Cooper had been starved to death in the Isle of Wight Union Workhouse?

MR. SCLATER - BOOTH,

in reply, said, his attention had been called to the case, and he had sent to the coroner for a copy of the depositions.
