Resolutions [April 9] reported.

First Five Resolutions agreed to.

Resolution 6. That a sum, not exceeding £74,583, be granted to Her Majesty, to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March 1878, for the Salaries and Expenses of the Office of Her Majesty's Secretary of State for the Home Department and Subordinate Offices, read a second time.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House doth agree with the Committee in the said Resolution."

MR. MACDONALD

moved that the Vote be reduced by the sum of £7,800 (Travelling Expenses of Inspectors of Mines).

SIR HENRY SELWIN-IBBETSON

supported the payment proposed.
