§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER,in reply, said, that in the absence of his hon. and learned Friend, he was enabled to inform the hon. Gentleman, on the authority of the Lord 1420 Chancellor, that the Official Referees would not be allowed to carry on their private practice.
