§ Order for Committee read.
§ Sir WINDHAM ANSTRUTHERmoved that the Order for the Committee be discharged for the present in order that the measure might be referred back to the Select Committee.
§ Mr. RAIKESsaid, he did not wish to offer any opposition to the proposal before the House, but he thought it right to point out some important changes which had been introduced into the Bill in Committee. If it re-appeared before the House again in the shape it now was, it would be his duty to trouble the House at much greater length on the matter in pointing out the remarkable provisions which had been inserted in the Bill,
§ Sir EDWARD COLEBROOKEwould like a more definite statement of the proposals in the Bill which the hon. Gentleman (Mr. Raikes) considered so objectionable.
§ Order discharged; Motion agreed to.
§ Bill re-committed to the former Select Committee, with reference to Clauses 2, 3, 6, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 43, 45, and 57, and Schedule B.
