said, as the hon. Member had not explained the nature of the measure he should move the Adjournment of the Debate.

said, the discussion might be taken in Committee, which was the course the Government usually adopted in dealing with their Bills.

SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH

said, no one expected this Bill to come on, and he knew nothing of its provisions. He therefore hoped the Motion for Adjournment would be agreed to.
