HC Deb 04 May 1876 vol 229 c44
MR. PULESTON

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, Whether the Report of the Commission appointed by the Admiralty to inquire into the question of Engineering the Royal Navy, and also into a scheme of promotion and retirement, has been made; if so, whether said Report can now be laid upon the Table of the House, and what action is to be taken thereon?

MR. HUNT,

in reply, said, such a Report had been made by a Committee departmentally appointed by the Admiralty. That Report was under consideration, and it was impossible that any decision should be speedily come to upon it. It would be premature to lay the Report at present before the House.
