DALRYMPLEasked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether the question of the leave rules of the Uncovenanted Civil Servants in India has yet been decided; and, whether instructions have been issued by the Secretary of State for India which will put an end to the suspense which has for a considerable time existed on the subject?
§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTON, in reply, said, that the question referred to had been decided, and that a few weeks ago a despatch was sent by the Secretary of State to the Government of India which would enable them to issue instructions that would put an end to the suspense complained of.
