Motion made, and Question proposed, That a Select Committee be appointed to inquire what are the reasons for the present scarcity of Oysters, and what has been the effect of the measures relating to Oyster Fisheries adopted by Parliament subsequently to the Report of the Royal Commission on Sea Fisheries in 1866."—(Sir Charles Legard.)

Amendment proposed, at the end of the Question to add the words "and to report what further legislative measures may, in the opinion of the Committee, be desirable."—(Mr. Cawley.)
