§ MR. WHEELHOUSEasked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether the recommendations contained in the Third Report of the Playfair Commission respecting the out-door Department of Inland Revenue will be carried out; and, if so, when?
§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER, in reply, said, the Report in question had been referred to the Board of Inland Revenue, and that he understood a Report from that Department to the Treasury was now under consideration, and would in all probability soon be made. As soon as it had been received, no time would be lost in dealing with it.
